As noted, I am a former parent of an LLS student. Although I admired the commitment and sincerity of the LLS staff, this is not the school for any child. Unfortunatly, LLS is struggling to maintain itself. The two or three parents who make up the PTL essentially run the school. And trust me, these are not people you would ever run to for parenting/educational advice. The most creative brainstorm from this year was 'dress as your favorite bible character'. Huh? I get that it is a Christ based school, but enough. How about 'let's meet the state's minimal standards for education'? Every student in that facility is on the merit/honor roll. Yet, as a whole, the school can't compete with the overcrowded, under-priviliged city schools. Please, if you are considering this school, pray very hard. Not only does the school need all the help that it can but your child will as well.
