Away from HomeReply to this Comment
It's been years since I left the States to live out of the country. When I get homesick, I think of those blue ridge mountains, lakes, wild animals....not my class mates..lol, well, and those too, and my family. Living in another country makes you appreciate home. I like where I am, but...there's no place like home. If you are from West Virginia, hug a tree, take a dip in the lake, smell the fresh flowers, throw snowballs, and enjoy what God has given you. I have seen much on my travels, and believe me, West Virginians are fortunate. We have so much, but yet, sometimes it is hard to see. I say hello to all my friends and fellow West Virginians. I left the school in 1980. Spent some time in Germany-visited castles-yes. I saw the Blue Danube, and took a trip to Switzerland-visited the castles-yes real ones, and Amsterdam-(Saw the boat lady) bought some wooden shoes, while I was there. Those are cool places to visit. Came home. Went to Tennessee, then to Alabama, then off to Texas. After a few years, I went to Oklahoma for about one year, and off to Ohio, where I stayed briefly...then back to good ole WVA...and now I am in the Middle East. It's been interesting so far. There is so much to see in the world. If you like to travel...pack your bags and take off. Don't wait. It's a big world out there, and so many interesting people to meet. I am so happy that God gave me the chance to see so many places in this big wide world. If you have money...and you have time...I recommend a trip around the world. You won't be disappointed.....if you like seeing new sites...and if you are adventurious. I have had a great time. Well, some places had some bad points...but it was still ok. I miss all of you in Midland Trail. I hope you are enjoying your years away from school. Good-luck to all, and God bless you all.
